Picture of Ioanna TalliΔρ Ιωάννα Τάλλη holds a BA degree in Special Education from University of Macedonia (2004), MSc in Special Education and Speech and Language Therapy from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2007), and a PhD in Psychology from University of Paris Descartes and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2010).  Since 2021 she is a faculty member of the Department of Italian Language and Literature, School of Philosophy, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (currently Assistant Professor). Her primary research interests fall within the field of psycholinguistics and neurodevelopmental disorders (developmental dyslexia, developmental language disorder and autism spectrum disorder). She mainly focuses on the assessment and learning of oral and written language (reading, spelling) and cognitive mechanisms (memory, attention) in monolingual and bi-/multilingual children (Greek, Romance languages, etc.). She teaches courses related to special education, foreign language learning in special education, assessment of second language skills in students with special educational needs, and speech and language disorders. 

Regarding her clinical experience, she has worked for 16 years at the Ministry of Education as a teacher of Special Education in various settings of primary education (schools of special education, inclusion classes, parallel support). She has also worked as a speech and language therapist in private practice providing services to children with a wide range of speech, language and communication disorders. 

She has participated in various funded research programs in Greece and abroad and has numerous publications in international scientific journals, collective volumes and conference proceedings. She is serving as an ad hoc reviewer for several international scientific journals (e.g. Autism and Developmental Language Impairments, Clinical Linguistics and Phonetics, First Language, Research in Developmental Disabilities). 

She is a registered member of scientific association of speech and language therapists and logopedagogists of Greece and a member of the board of Hellenic Psychological Association, serving as a Cashier (2022-2025).
 

Άννα Μούτη holds a BA degree in English Studies and a BA degree in Italian Studies, an MA in Applied Linguistics, and a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Second Language Acquisition and Applied Linguistics at the School of Italian Language and Literature, at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Tutor and Module Coordinator at the MA Programme "Language Education for Refugees and Migrants" at the Hellenic Open University.  She teaches courses related to applied linguistics, second language acquisition, language assessment, and educational linguistics. She has a long teaching experience in various academic positions at the University of Macedonia, the University of Thessaly, and the School of Modern Greek teaching English for Academic Purposes and Greek as a second language. 
Her primary research interests include Second Language Acquisition and Individual Differences, Language Testing and Assessment, and Language Education for Refugees/Migrants. She has participated in various funded research programs in Greece and abroad and has numerous publications in international scientific journals, collective volumes, and conference proceedings. Her research has been conducted in various contexts and regarding three (3) working languages: Greek, Italian, and English as L2s. It was her involvement in the language education of adult refugees and migrants in Greece that led her to the ALTE -LAMI Special Interest Group and currently she is an ALTE Individual Expert Member.
 

Picture of Stavroula StavrakiΣταυρούλα Σταυράκη (Scopus ID: 6506413912) is a Professor of Linguistics with specialization in Neurolinguistics at AUTh, School of Philosophy, Dept. of Italian Language and Literature. She has been working as a faculty member at AUTh since 2004. Before being a faculty member at AUTh, Prof. Stavrakaki worked as a research or teaching staff member in other universities in Greece and abroad including University
College London and University of Crete. Additionally, she has taught in several postgraduate programs abroad (including Amsterdam, Ferrara, Essex, Potsdam, and UCL). 

She has been a Marie-Curie postdoctoral fellow, funded by European Commission, at UCL and participated in several funded research projects including COST actions focusing on child language. She is currently an international partner for the Words in the World project (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, P.I. Garry Libben). Prof. Stavrakaki has published articles in international journals including Brain and Language, Journal of Child Language, British Journal of Developmental Psychology, Journal of Speech, Language and Hearing Research and Aphasiology. She acted as a guest editor for a special issue of First Language on verbal short term memory and syntax in developmental disorders (https://journals.sagepub.com/toc/flaa/40/4). Her research interests focus on the study of language and other cognitive functions in acquired and developmental disorders of neurological or genetic etiology. Her current research focuses on language mapping by Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and post-operative language recovery in patients with brain tumors. In addition, she investigates the manifestation of language impairment in Developmental Language Disorder and other developmental disorders.

Η Σοφία Σωτηροπούλου είναι Νευρογλωσσολόγος, απόφοιτη του τμήματος Φιλολογίας, τομέα Γλωσσολογίας του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Ολοκλήρωσε τις μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στο τμήμα Ιατρικής του ΑΠΘ, στο Δ.Π.Μ.Σ. "Νευροεπιστήμες, Νευρογλωσσολογία και εφαρμογές". Ειδικεύτηκε στις γλωσσικές και μαθησιακές δυσκολίες σε δι-/πολύγλωσσους μαθητές μέσω της Μεταπτυχιακής Διπλωματικής Εργασίας, η οποία αποτέλεσε και κομμάτι του παρόντος προγράμματος Erasmus+. Έχει δημοσιεύσεις σε επιστημονικά συνέδρια και περιοδικά με θεματολογία όπως: αυτισμός υψηλής λειτουργικότητας και νέες τεχνολογικές παρεμβάσεις, ο ρόλος του μουσείου στη σχολική ζωή, δι-/πολυγλωσσία και γλωσσικές ή/και μαθησιακές δυσκολίες. Παρακολούθησε πλήθος σεμιναρίων, συνεδρίων και ημερίδων σε συναφή γνωστικά αντικείμενα. Έχει ασχοληθεί με τη διδασκαλία Ελληνικών ως Γ2 τόσο σε παιδιά, όσο και σε ενήλικες (εθελοντικά). Τέλος, παραδίδει μαθήματα και πραγματοποιεί συνεδρίες βελτίωσης της μελέτης για τα μαθήματα του σχολείου σε μαθητές με μαθησιακές δυσκολίες, γλωσσικές διαταραχές, ΔΕΠ-Υ και αυτισμό υψηλής λειτουργικότητας.

picture of V TougioumtziΒασιλική Τουγιουτζή is a graduate of the Cyprus University of Technology, where she completed her undergraduate studies in Speech Therapy. She is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in the Master’s Program titled "Neurosciences, Neurolinguistics, and Applications" at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her undergraduate thesis focused on the rehabilitation of Dysphagia in a young adult following tongue resection due to cancer. Her master’s research is dedicated to developing a screening tool for the diagnosis of language and learning difficulties in bilingual and multilingual children of preschool and school age. She has participated in a wide range of seminars, conferences, and workshops relevant to her areas of expertise. Her professional practice specializes in speech therapy, addressing the needs of both adults and children.

Picture of Elena TheodorouΔρ Έλενα Θεοδώρου is Assistant Professor of Speech and Language Therapy at the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences of the Cyprus University of Technology and coordinator of the undergraduate Speech and Language Therapy programme. She holds a degree in Speech Therapy from the Higher Institute of Technology of Patras, an MSc in Language and Communication Impairment in Children from the University of Sheffield and a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Cyprus. 

Her current research activity, which is developed in the framework of the activities of the Research Laboratory OPI.L.O.Go, focuses on the detection, identification and diagnosis of children with Developmental Language Disorder and the mapping of their language abilities with the aim of more effective intervention in the bilectal environment of Cyprus and the Greek-speaking population in general. She also investigates speech and language therapy services provided to children with Developmental Language Disorders and Complex Communication Disorders. She is also a member of the Global Tales Project research group, which studies children's personal storytelling skills, and the group studying Digital Literacy in Speech and Language Therapy. 

Her current activity includes involvement as a member of the management committee in the COST CA22139 project entitled "Justice to youth language needs: human rights undermined by an invisible disadvantage (Y-JustLang)". Her research findings have been published in international journals and conference proceedings and presented at international scientific conferences.

Regarding her clinical experience, she worked at the Ministry of Health as a Speech and Language Therapist in Medical Services, in Public Primary Education as a Special Teacher of speech and Language Therapy, and as a Special Education Coordinator. In these settings, she provided speech and language therapy services to children and adults with a wide range of language, speech, and communication disorders. 

Dr. Theodorou is a registered member of the Cyprus Association of Registered Speech and Language Pathologists. Her leadership roles include serving as Chair of the Cyprus Speech-Language Pathologists Registration Council from 2021 to 2023. Since 2024, she has chaired the Continuing Professional Development Committee of the Cyprus Speech-Language Pathologists Registration Council. Additionally, she holds the position of Vice Chair of the Committee on Children's Language of the International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders (IALP).

Picture of Eva CommissaireΔρ Eva Commissaire holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Lille, France and the University of Dundee, Scotland, UK (2012). Since 2013, she has been an assistant professor in psychology at the University of Strasbourg, France, and a member of the Laboratoire de Psychologie des Cognitions (LPC lab), where she has been heading the ‘Language and Learning’ team since 2022. Her main research interests fall within the field of psycholinguistics and developmental psychology. She mainly focuses on the learning and processing of written language (reading, spelling) in monolingual and bilingual children and adults. She has also conducted research into vocabulary learning in a second language as well as emotional processing in bilinguals. Over the last five years, she has supervised or co-supervised the doctoral theses of 6 students, 2 of whom are still in progress and 1 has just started. She has also participated as a member of several juries, around 20 per year at master's level and several at doctoral level (6 doctoral juries, including 2 abroad). She teaches courses in developmental psychology, from infants to the elderly, covering both cognitive and socio-emotional aspects, as well as the acquisition and processing of written language, school education and neurodevelopmental disorders, including learning disabilities. She is responsible for the first year of the Master’s degree in Developmental and Learning psychology at the University of Strasbourg.

She has participated in various funded research programs in France and has published around twenty papers in international scientific journals in the field of psychology. She is serving as a reviewer for several international scientific journals (e.g., Journal of Experimental Child Psychology, Journal of Research in Reading, Psychonomic Bulletin & Review, etc.). She has a several responsibilities at the University of Strasbourg, as a member of the Research Ethics Committee since 2018, and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Interdisciplinary Thematic Institute of Language and Communication (entitled LiRIC since 2024, formerly FRLC since 2020). At national level in France, she has been a member of the psychologists committee of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research since 2023, which rules on foreign diplomas with a view to validating the title of psychologist, as well as a nominated member (as a substitute) of the National Universities Council (CNU) since 2023.
